What is Crossfit?

  • Crossfit is a grassroots fitness movement based out of Santa Cruz, California. It is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

Christine (FGB Style)

In this version of Christine, athletes will work in teams of 3.  Athletes will go for max reps in 1 minute at each station.  After the completion of all three stations there will be 1 minute of rest.  This cycle will repeated for a total of 3 rounds.  The stations are:
1. Row (for calories)
2. Deadlift (135#/65#)
3. Box Jumps

Accessory Work:
When was the last time you worked an L-sit or Ring Support?  Don't remember?  Well, bust out the parallettes and/or grab a set of rings.  Hit 2 or 3 minutes (cumulative) in an L-sit or Ring Support.

The Storm will kick off at 11am tomorrow.  We're going to run it like one large class and have it spill over the 12pm class.  There will be no Teaser or 10am class so that we can set up the space and focus our attention on Jacinto's Birthday WOD.  Try to get there at 11 for the group warm-up and heat assignments, if you get there a little late please warm-up on your own and see us about placement. SBK on the Farm
As many of you know, there's been talk of a trip to Grazin' Angus Acres in Ghent, New York. Farmer Dan at Grazin' Angus is excited to have the help and has offered us a chance to pitch some tents, work the farm and then send us over to his neighbor Farmer Dante at Milk Thistle Farm. It doesn't get more functional than farming, and just think of all that beef and milk...

Dan is at the NYC markets over the weekend, so ideally we should go up during the week: perhaps a Wednesday - Saturday. If that's not possible, we can make it a weekend only trip, but Dan and Dante will not be around to host us.
